Ambassadors
Our Year 6 children had the chance to apply to be ambassadors and represent Birchwood Grove. They have many responsibilities and are a fantastic asset to our school. Have a look below at each group's responsibilities and how they are helping our school be a fantastic place to be!
Personal Development Team:
Our personal development team are currently reviewing our behaviour and anti-bullying charters and thinking about the best ways for these to be shared across our school.
Curriculum Team:
Our core learning team are currently helping to create a guide for parents on our calculation policy and the way our curriculum progresses in addition, subtraction, multiplication & division. Whilst also being busy organising celebrations of History for this term focused on our concepts of belonging & diversity.
Play (OPAL) Team:
Our play team are busy taking photos of play areas in the school and thinking about which areas are used best and which can be improved. They are going to use this to plan a play assembly for the whole school, helping to keep OPAL running from Year 2 to 6!
Sports & Physical Health Team (linked with our Sports Crew):
Our sports and physical health team are currently planning some intra-school competitions using our sports day colours and thinking of inventive ways to keep people fit.
Well-Being & Mental Health Team:
Our well-being team are working with our RSHE lead teachers in promoting the zones of regulation across school and making sure each class are aware and using it to communicate with each other about our feelings & emotions.
Safety & Secretary:
Our secretary and safety ambassador is busy planning the agenda for our next kite council and looking at how we are promoting online safety in school to keep everyone safe.
Green Ambassadors:
Our green ambassadors are constantly thinking of ways to promote looking after our environment, encourage our school to be more sustainable and promoting the process of 'Reduce, Reuse, Recycle'!
