Admission to Birchwood Grove is done through West Sussex County Council. Click on the logo below to be directed to the West Sussex admissions page on their website; here you will find all the information you should need and a link to the online application process.

Reception Year admissions
At Birchwood Grove our current published admission number is 60. All reception children are offered full time provision from the first available opportunity, whether they are statutory school age or below. We ensure that children below the statutory age (currently 3 and 4 years old) have a minimum of 15 hours per week for the full 38 weeks of the academic year.
The children start in September with a staggered start to school to ensure the transition is as smooth and settled as possible. This will be reviewed annually to take account of the start date of the autumn term.

We are thrilled that we have had so much interest in our school and have offer 180 places to parents and carers over our 3 open events. Unfortunately all of our open events are now full, due to staff commitments we are unable to offer tours at other times. please take a look at our on-line tour and prospectus.

In-year admissions
An in-year application is an application for a place during the academic year or for entry to a year group which is outside the normal starting school process. West Sussex County Council (WSCC) process in-year admissions for Birchwood Grove CP School and more information can be found here:
You can apply at any time of the year and places cannot be reserved in advance and normally need to be taken up within 10 days of being offered. If you are moving house you can apply in advance but your child must be able to take up the place within 10 days of it being offered.
Once a place has been offered please contact the school office to make an appointment for a tour of the school. If you would like to make an in-year application you should fill out the West Sussex form:

Families are encouraged to write three preferences and WSCC cannot guarantee you will receive your preferred choice.
